I am trying to reach the owners of Everything Breaks to ask for assistance with being denied for an auto repair. When I reviewed my contract on my 2008 Chevy Malibu, there were two issues. The wrong contract number was on the policy and the initial mileage was wrong. It was a couple of weeks after I bought a new policy for the vehicle, that I had previously covered but canceled on March 19, 2025. I ended up giving it to a family member, but was told I had to start a new policy, which I did on May 17th. I do not have any proof of the mileage from May. As I told customer service, if I took a picture of the mileage at that time, it would be the current mileage, not the mileage when I purchased the contract, because it had been driven since the contract was purchased. I have no way of proving the mileage. You know and accept that 165,000 is wrong, but won’t accept what I told you when I called in to correct it, is right. That makes no sense. I’ve also had the contract for over a month, and the old contract for a lot longer. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle the 5 years that I had it. I’ve only put tires and a new battery in it. It’s driven 3 hours, day an hour and a half each way to work. There is no reason the repair should not be covered by Everything Breaks. Please review the tapes of my conversations with your company. If you aren’t going to honor my contract, I will contact the BBB to let them know the situation to see what they say. I am not a litigious person, but I’m going to look at my options. You have never paid out on anything but an oil change on my 2016 Chevy Malibu that I also have covered. I am asking for the owners to review this and not upper management. They hung up on me before I was finished asking questions and letting them know what happened. All this was was an initial error in mileage on the vehicle. On the paperwork it states 165,000 miles, but verbally I’m being told there was 182,250 miles on it. I have not seen anything in writing on this. There are about 182,450 miles on it now, I’m told. But that’s after it’s been driven every day to work for over a month. Thank you for your honest help with this matter. Please get back to me as soon as possible. A family of 4 children will not have a vehicle to get around this summer, so will have to spend the summer at home. Two of the children are developmentally disabled, one is mentally ill. This would be a huge hardship for a low income family which is why I tried to help them by giving them the vehicle in the first place and covering the contract. I was only trying to help them.
